Benalla has won the Ovens and Murray play-off final between premiers of 1A and 1B.
The play-off was between Benalla and YMGCR 2, and was played at Corowa Civic Bowls Club.
Benalla came out on top in the match 73 to 49.
Benalla Bowls Club secretary Graham Moore said Benalla led from almost start to finish, except for two ends during the middle stages.
‘‘Benalla had no intentions of letting this match get away from them,’’ Moore said.
‘‘Even with only one team left to play its final end, they still showed who was the best team on the day.
‘‘Once this end was over the scenes were fantastic — a few tears rolling down the checks of the Benalla players; no-one gave Benalla a chance, but they had other ideas.’’
The trophy was presented to the side by Ovens and Murray president Margaret Isherwood.
