Saints seeking leaders

September 16, 2017

Have you always wanted to be a top footy coach? The Benalla Saints are in need of two leaders for some of its top-rated footy sides.

The Benalla Saints Sports Club is seeking head coaches for its reserves and under-18s football teams for next season.

After a strong footy campaign in the under-18s and a less-than-satisfactory reserves season, the club is looking to bolster its chances for next year.

The Saints are affiliated with the Goulburn Valley Football Netball League and enter four football and four netball teams in the relevant competitions.

A club spokesperson said the Saints ‘‘endeavour to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for all players and their families’’.

The club has re-signed senior footy coach Luke Morgan after a strong season in the GVFL, where the Saints made finals, only to be knocked out by Seymour in the first elimination final.

The successful applicants should possess excellent communication skills, along with a strong background in and understanding of football and an ability to develop and work with the club’s young playing group.

No less than nine youth players made their senior debuts for the Saints this year, a mantra Morgan wants to instil in the club.

The club asks for any expressions of interest, including qualifications and experience, to be sent to the club’s secretary, Benalla Saints Sports Club, at by close of business on Friday, September 22.
