Port Adelaide has lodged free agency paperwork with the AFL to claim former Brisbane captain Tom Rockliff.

The Power made an official offer to the restricted free agent on Tuesday, leaving the Lions three days to decide whether they will match Port’s deal.

However, Brisbane is highly unlikely to take that path, preferring instead to let the disgruntled midfielder go and receive a compensatory draft pick from the AFL.
