Patrick Warner was among the goals in the Murray Bushrangers victory against the Geelong Falcons on Saturday.
In a hard-contested match, the Bushrangers came from not kicking a goal in the opening quarter to run out with a 16-point victory.
The victory moves the side to fifth on the ladder.
Following his best-on-ground performance in last week’s victory over the Bendigo Pioneers, Warner produced a solid hit-out with his six touches, including a goal in the final quarter to put the game on ice for the Bushrangers.
Warner’s pressure work was key for the side, laying four tackles in the victory.
With Rebecca Webster not in the line-up on the day, the women’s Bushrangers fell short of the Falcons by nine points.
Melanie Cook, Mikayla Jones and Olivia Hall all registered majors on the day, but the Falcons were too good, taking the win.
The Bushrangers remain in fourth place on the ladder.
