Benalla Squash Club’s annual championships were played again during the school holidays, with a number of matches ensuing from a good cross section of club members competing against each other.

In the main events, Benalla newcomer Sandy Paterson went straight to the top in defeating Treena McNair in the women's final, while stalwarts Wally Pastuszka and Greg Murphy battled it out for men’s champion, with Murphy taking out the top prize.

Strong form: Greg Murphy took out the Men's Championship.

Accompanying the championships was a women’s and men’s plate event.

Jo Henderson defeated Tiffany Levesque to take out the women’s plate and Matt Crittenden, a newcomer to squash, overcame Ray Moulday for the men’s plate.
